Join the Falkirk Center, along with Students for Life LU & COL1972, at the March for Life! On Friday, January 29th, 2021, join Liberty University students at the National Mall for the 48th Annual March for Life, in Washington, D.C.! All registered students will receive a FREE Liberty March for Life sweatshirt & beanie. Registration Deadline: 12:00 PM Monday, January 25, 2021 Departing Liberty: Students will need to arrive at 5:15 AM outside the Reber-Thomas Dining Hall for check-in and boarding. Students will be assigned an LU chaperone and a specific seat designation. Buses will depart promptly at 6:00AM from Liberty University. Arriving in DC: Buses will park at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. The March for Life rally will begin at 12:00 PM at 12th Street NW on the National Mall. Walking Route: Students will receive specific logistics regarding the March for Life walk route at check-in on Friday morning. What do I wear? Students will receive a FREE Liberty March for Life sweatshirt and beanie at Friday morning’s check-in. Dress for winter weather. While temperature will fluctuate, DC wind-chill is generally much colder. Wear athletic shoes that you are comfortable walking in for several hours. NO COSTUMES PERMITTED. Any participants wearing inappropriate attire (including merchandise with vulgar or derogatory language) will not be permitted on the buses. Will there be any food provided? A Boxed Breakfast and Lunch will be provided at check-in on Friday morning. Falkirk Center will purchase cases of water for distribution. Students should bring additional snacks with them – there will not be an opportunity to stop in route to DC. Will there be a LibertyU chaperone? Students will be divided into groups of 12 with a Liberty University chaperone assigned to each group. All students will march with their assigned group. What about COVID-19? All Liberty University COVID-19 protocols will be enforced. For example, students will be required to wear a mask throughout the event and maintain CDC guidelines for social distancing. Buses will also be at half capacity and seat assignments will be maintained for the purposes of contact tracing. Additional information will be made available after registration and as we near departure date.
