Formation night at AVODAH Farms Join us for formation night to celebrate the Feast of Saint John Bosco! This event will be outside by the bonfire, so dress warmly! 3:00-4:00 | Light bites, beverages, and bonding 4:00-6:00 | Bonfire with Don Bosco AVODAH FARMS "Avodah" is Hebrew for work, worship, and service. AVODAH Farms provides space for women, families, and young people to find restoration through the creative act of farming, compassionate and supportive housing, with the integration of teaching and prayer. There are three major components to AVODAH that serve the mission in a unique way: the Stella Maris House, the Oratory, and the Farm. Our event series is part of the Oratory which meets the needs of those seeking community, providing space for fellowship, prayer, worship, service, and work. Within the Oratory, there will be three types of dedicated spaces: Groups & gathering space: This space will offer areas for men’s and women’s groups, bible studies, fundraisers, psychological counseling, events, and parties. Work space: This space will allow young people to discover a trade in concrete, wood-working, farming, and other offerings, specifically for troubled young people who need and are looking for a stable career path. Living space: There will be family housing and individual housing. The family will oversee the operation and mission of the oratory, while providing a structured atmosphere. The individual housing will be for young adults seeking community and healing.
