In this unique combo class, you will start out in The Midwest Collective located on the second floor of the Cedar Creek Settlements building. Here you will learn some basics about candle making, with choices in vessel color, wick type and fragrance options. Available fragrances and their scent notes: - Amber & Sea Water: Sea Salt, Driftwood, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Olibanum, Vanilla, Vetiver - Thunderstorm: Greens, Lime, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Jasmine, Lavender, Ozone, Clean - Crackling Cedarwood: Cumin, Cedar Leaf, Apple, Oregano, Anise, Cannabis, Spice, Warm Leather, Smoke - Mojave Bloom: Sea Moss, Melon, Agave, Passionflower, Açaí, Aloe, Coconut Bark, Teakwood, Grass, Amber - Adventures at Lake Alva: Sea Moss, Melon, Agave, Passionflower, Açaí, Aloe, Coconut Bark, Teakwood, Grass, Amber - Fruity Loops: Lemon, Berry Fruit, Citrus - French Vanilla: Madagascar Vanilla Bean You will spend about an hour learning about and assembling your candle. Once poured, your candle will need time to set. During this time, you will head upstairs to Four Wings Wellness Studio. Here you will engage in a gentle, relaxing hatha yoga class; performing movements, poses, and breath work to open and stretch the body and mind. You will begin with centering, intention-setting, and calming breathwork. The practice will include seated and standing postures to stretch and strengthen, as well as movements that are slow but intentional to cleanse and rejuvenate. A short guided meditation will lead you into a sweet savasana (resting pose) to close the practice. This class will have you leaving with a peaceful mind, restful body, and fresh energy for the day. This class is suitable for all levels! In addition, you will also receive a coffee voucher for Fair Brew & Trade Coffee Shop located on the first floor! This voucher is good for one coffee, tea or latte of any size. Voucher will be provided to you at the beginning of the candle class and can be redeemed at any time that same day (June 3)! Because these candles need at least 2 hours to set, it is suggested that you take time to shop the other additional stores located in the Cedar Creek Settlements or grab lunch at the Anvil or other local eaterie! What to Bring: All yoga equipment will be provided at the event. However if you are more comfortable utilizing your own mat and blocks, feel free to bring them. All items needed for candle making will be provided!
