The Jackpot Barrels will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 with the competition starting at 6 pm and $5 practice runs starting at 4 pm. The Annual CVE Gymkhana will be held on Friday September 1, 2023 starting at noon. We will start with the parade of riders and the national anthem. Each rider will be called in the order they will run. Once you have registered and entry fees have been received, a packet with all the game diagrams, descriptions, rules, fair tickets and parking pass will be mailed to you approximately one week prior to the event. Check need to be payable to CVE and mailed to Tracy Webb 2069 Highgate Rd St. Albans VT 05478. Payment needs to be received by August 15 2023. Please enter before August 1, 2023 to make sure we order enough t-shirts for everyone. Limited to 45 riders this year. Competitors must be 13 years of age by the date of the competition.  GAMES are TBD For those of you interested in staying overnight, we will again have camping available for a $25 a night. This does NOT include water or power.  If you need hook-ups for water or electric, please contact the fairgrounds and speak to the person in charge of camping (802) 878-5545 .   Stalls for horses are also available starting at noon on August 31, 2023 for FREE. But, we only have a limited number of stalls so they will be issued on a first come, first served basis. You are REQUIRED to strip the stall of all shavings and manure once you are done with the stall. If we do not maintenance the stalls when finished with them we will not be able to use them! Please clean up after your animals! Weather will only be an issue if there are thunderstorms, otherwise we will ride RAIN OR SHINE! We would ONLY cancel a show if they are calling for heavy rain or thunderstorms. In that case, we would try to call each of you the night before the show and in this case, your money would be refunded. However if we ride even just one event, there will be no refunds. Our policy for late rider withdrawals is as follows: There will be NO REFUNDS issued if a rider withdraws from the competition less than 7 days prior to August 23, 2023. Having said that, we would still like to know if you are not planning on attending so we can fill in the spots if time allows.  We hope you'll compete with us again this year.  See you at the Fair!
