Join us for this opportunity to explore the natural world all around Dedham. We’ll do some bird watching, wildflower, mushroom and tree identification. We may build in time for nature journaling, with guidance. You’ll be surprised at what we will find! We’ll go at a leisurely pace… these walks are not geared towards covering a lot of ground, but truly investigating and observing. May 19th: this walk will be at Fowl Meadow. We will park and meet near the corner of Greensboro Road and Bonham Road, in the Greenlodge and Manor neighborhoods of Dedham. Here are the details you'll need: Let's gather at the corner of Greensboro Road and Bonham Road before 10:00 so that we can get a prompt start! We will start our walk at 10:05Feel free to bring binoculars, a magnifying glass, a notebook and pen if you have any of these. I will have some to share as well. And don't forget to wear comfortable walking shoes. Insect activity: I haven't noticed any yet.Sun protection: We'll be in the woods so I don't think it will be an issue.Tick checks: The ticks are out and bad this year already. Check yourself often, and thoroughly once you get home. We will mostly stay on the trails to help minimize our exposure.
