Stewardship professionals from the Buzzards Bay Coalition, Wildlands Trust, the Town of Plymouth Natural Resources Department, Barnstable Land Trust, and Mattapoisett Land Trust are collaborating to present an introductory training program for seasonal land stewards. The two-day program is open to seasonal land stewards from around the State and will be held at the new Stewardship Training Center in Plymouth, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, June 26th and 27th. Attendees will be trained in First Aid and CPR, field safety, basic carpentry and bench construction, invasive plant ID and removal, trail maintenance, tool maintenance, and techniques for engaging with the public on conservation land. This training will be a great opportunity for seasonals to obtain training in core stewardship competencies, network with peers, and learn collaboratively from professional land stewards. Lunch for both days is included with registration. Overnight housing is available in dormitory style rooms for an additional fee. Please contact [email protected] with any questions!
