Description
The desire to be in connection with other women is in our DNA; it’s our nature as humans and females to lean on our village and find comfort there. And yet in 2023, loneliness is considered an epidemic and it feels harder the busier we get to carve out time to be in circle with other women. Join Randi Zinn, Nushu Facilitator and women’s mentor, and Vanessa Piazza, owner of Josie’s Coffee Shoppe, for a safe space of guided conversation and contemplation on topics like: What is friendship to me now? What qualities matter most to me in the people I spend time with? What does my heart crave in relationship at this time in my life? Expect: guided prompts, journal writing, sharing of thoughts, drinks, snacks and mingling before and after. Spots are limited so sign up quickly! Date and Time: June 15th, 2023 from 6:30-8pm Location: Josie’s Coffee Shoppe, Saugerties, NY https://www.josiescoffeeshoppe.com Cost: $10 with all proceeds going to SPICE (Sisters Persevere in Conscious Evolution), a year round project for low income women and their children with a special focus on women of color. SPICE is created by Center for Creative Education https://cce4me.org We look forward to seeing you! What is Nushu Group: NUSHU Group is a place to hold space for others, where we can share what’s on our minds and deep in our hearts. That truth is received in a space of love, compassion, and non-judgment. There is a longer description on NUSHU's website, Why do we need it? Because being a human in today’s world can be deeply lonely, and in some cases, even when we have an inner circle of support, we still don’t have the right place to let things out. NUSHU Group is an open invitation to come as you are and share whatever it is that you need to release. It’s a place of connection and co-healing. How do we meet? We will meet in person! Details in sign up. Will I need to prepare or do anything? No! Seek out a quiet spot wherever you are and join. “Pass” and “Come back to me” are always an option for sharing - there is no pressure. What can I expect from the session? NUSHU Group is a place of safety and healing. It's a place to say things aloud and be witnessed and also a place where vulnerability is strength. In Group, each participant commits to confidentiality and non-judgment along with other helpful guidelines to establish the space. More practically, I'll offer a set of prompts and we'll all have time to share reflections, with time for journaling in between rounds.
