Description
The Bee Conservancy invites you to our 2nd annual World Bee Day festival — a FREE family-friendly day that celebrates the 20,000+ bee species that pollinate 80% of the world’s flowering plants! Hosted at our flagship Bee Sanctuary, we’ll offer fun, educational programming including “Honey Bee Hive Dives,” arts and crafts, and native bee and habitat talks. Our Urban Farm neighbors Earth Matter will host a Seed Bomb Making Station and GrowNYC host garden tours of what's planted and blooming locally on the island. Plus, enjoy face painting and a musical performance by Brooklyn United Marching Band!
Learn how to build sustainable pollinator habitats, discover the fascinating world of ground- and cavity- nesting bees, peek inside a colony of tens of thousands of honey bees. Enjoy complimentary gift bags and goodies from our sponsor, Zarbee's on a first come, first serve basis.
