Did you know there is a National Park in SETX?
The Big Thicket National Preserve is a biological crossroads, a protected cultural heritage region, and an outdoor oasis for recreation spanning the seven county region from Jefferson to Tyler counties.
Big Thicket National Preserve turns 50 in 2024 and the National Parks Conservation Association is leading the charge, in collaboration with the National Park Service, to host a series of events to promote and celebrate this beautiful and diverse region - and we would love for you to join us!
We'll have ways for you to get involved and would love to learn about events in your community supporting the national park in our backyard.
