The Franklin Medical Reserve Corp is excited to offer a CPR class for members and those looking to join the MRC. Recent statistics have shown that the earlier CPR is performed, the higher the chances of survival after cardiac arrest. Nearly 45 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest victims survived when bystander CPR was administered. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting, or who needs certification for other purposes. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Certification Card, valid for two years. Instructor and longtime MRC Volunteer, Sharon Leary, RN will be guiding you through learning these important skills. This is a community level course, and will not meet the requirements for medical level CPR credentials. We will open registration to prospective MRC volunteers who begin their application. MRC is covering the cost of this training - however, if you sign up and don't show up, we will ask for reimbursement for materials that were ordered for you. Thanks for understanding.
