Last week, the community was beyond generous with their donations. We've since had the families come and pick up new clothes, housewares, kids items, etc- the basics. Many don't have move in dates for their new homes until late June. We are still left with an enormous amount of items, and while we plan to donate to other nonprofits in the area... we still see an opportunity to help.
We are hosting a Pop Up Shop for the community. 100% of the proceeds will got towards gift cards for the families . Event to be hosted at The Homewood Suites, 125 Harbour Place Drive, Davidson NC 28036
How it will work:
Preview night: Friday, May 19 , 2023 - We will have two time slots- 6 to 7 p.m. and then 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. doors open at 6 p.m. - $10 fee at the door. (Cash or venmo) Items selected will have pricing, and proceeds will go to benefit the families impacted by the recent fires in Cornelius.

Since you have entrusted The Merry Magic Project with your donations to help the people impacted by the fire.. we have as a board agreed that this was the best way to handle what is left of the donations. We will divide out the money by the families and hand them over gift cards, so when they are ready to move into their new home they'll be able to purchase items from that point.
