Description

Participants will be traveling across Anson County to explore the Pee Dee Wildlife Refuge, visit Brown Creek Creamery, and check out the local Planetarium! Youth will learn about local wildlife, conservation efforts, and participate in interactive educational activities at the Pee Dee Wildlife Refuge. Attendees will learn all about dairy cattle, dairy farm management, and how cheese is made at Brown Creek Creamery! At the Anson County Schools Planetarium, youth will participate in educational experiences about astrology, geology, and will get to learn about some cool NC reptiles! Transportation will be provided. Each child should bring a bagged lunch each day. Date/Time: August 2-3, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Ages: 10-18 Class Limit: 8 This class is only open to youth ages 10+ as of January 1 of the current year. Do not attempt to register if your child does not meet the age requirements- these registrations will not be accepted.
