Introduce your kids to the wild world of bluebirds and other native and migratory songbirds of Georgia during this exciting 2-hour outdoor event! Birding guides from GA Audubon will take participants on an interpretive walking tour around the new bluebird trail at Big Haynes Creek Nature Center! Join us for What's the Big I.D.? on Saturday, June 3rd from 9am-11am for a fun, explorative nature walk! You'll see bluebird nesting activity, tips on how to monitor bluebird houses, tips on how to ID birds in your own backyard, and tips to become your own citizen scientist! If you're lucky, you may even see live baby bluebirds feeding! Participants should bring their own binoculars - loaners will be provided based on availability. The entire walk is less than two miles long, and takes about an hour to complete at a moderate pace, so it is suitable for all ages and walking levels. Parents must accompany kids under 12 years old. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Pets are not permitted at these events. **All Bluebirds & Friends events are FREE! Pre-registration is required to secure a spot, space is limited.
