Arizona Rural Human Services Network Keynote Speaker Biography: EEOC ADR Coordinator, Dina Cruz Dina Cruz currently serves as the ADR Coordinator for the Phoenix District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). She is currently responsible for over-seeing the Mediation department which mediate employment discrimination cases throughout Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. She frequently promotes the existence of the ADR program through training and outreach presentations due to her extensive knowledge regarding EEOC’s process and procedures. Ms. Cruz was a former Mediator for the Phoenix District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). She was responsible for mediating complaints involving employment discrimination laws (Title VII, ADEA, ADA, EPA, GINA). Throughout this process, she maintained a high level of impartiality and neutrality by suggesting alternatives of stimulating negotiations between opposing sides. Previously, she was an Investigator for the Phoenix District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). As an Investigator, Ms. Cruz investigated systemic, class and individual complaints of discrimination many of which resulted in successful litigation cases for the Commission. Prior to joining the Commission, she served as an Investigator for the Office of the Attorney General’s Civil Rights Division investigating Housing, public accommodation, voting and complaints of employment discrimination. Ms. Cruz received her B.A. in Justice Studies from Arizona State University.
