To celebrate the Great Lakes and Fresh Water Week, we are partnering with the Friends of Detroit River to host a kayaking event on the Detroit River. Anyone with their own kayak or canoe can come and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the last undeveloped mile of the Detroit River on the US side. We plan to have a relaxing kayak around Humbug Island and into some of the waterways along the main shore line. Please be aware we do not have kayaks to lend, every participant must bring their own boat. Dress for whatever the weather will be, but if it's unsafe we won't be heading out into the water.
