MOUNTIE BASKETBALL CAMP 2023Please fill out the form below and return to Coach Koller ([email protected]) by June 12th, 2023. In the subject of the email please put: Mountie Camp 2023. Camper Registration Form 2023 WHO: All boys and girls currently in grades 4 through 8. Registration is on a first come first served basis. Many years camp has “filled up” and players were turned away, so register early. WHEN: Mountie Camp will be held MONDAY, June 19, 2022 through THURSDAY, June 22, 2023. Camp hours are 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The gym will be open between the hours of 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM to help accommodate parents’ work schedules as well as for campers who want to spend extra time developing their skills. PLEASE plan on picking your child up by 2:30 PM—the coaches will be leaving at that time. WHERE: Stroudsburg High School will be the location of camp. CAMPER NEEDS: All campers need to bring a bag lunch with their name clearly marked on the outside (all lunches will be stored in coolers). Water bottles (many bring the bottle full of ice to start the day) and a towel are also necessary. Make sure the camper’s name is clearly visible on both. Drinks will be provided all day at camp. We suggest campers wear comfortable basketball shoes and If campers are bringing cell phones, please have them in ‘gym bags’ that they can store. There is no need for any other electronic equipment. Many campers must leave early or at various other times for other activities or appointments. A note must be given to the coach on the morning the player is leaving and we ask that the person picking the player up come into the gym to get them. ACTIVITIES: Camp is designed to help players develop all aspects of their game, but there will be a strong emphasis on becoming a better shooter. Players will spend time in a variety of different stations (all designed to improve the developing player), drills that build their skills and playing games each day. Several speakers have been recruited to talk with the campers about ways to become better athletes. Thursday afternoon will have the final competitions for the different skills awarded and this will be followed by a ceremony in which family members are invited. Each camper will receive an evaluation from their coach on their strengths and areas they need to improve upon. COACHING STAFF: This year’s staff will be comprised of Stroudsburg junior high and high school coaches. We supplement this staff with current high school players who assist our team coaches. COST: The cost this year will be $100 per camper. Payments can be made directly on Eventbrite by clicking add to the ticket numbers above then you will be taken to a secure checkout. Also we will accept Venmo payments of $100 per child to @Stroudsburgbasketball, in the message of payment please put MOUNTIE CAMP 2023 then your childs full name and parents phone number. DEADLINES: All forms are due no later than June 12th. Again the forms can be accessed by the link above and sent to Coach Koller at [email protected]. When camp reaches its capacity, no more players will be accepted. Unless you are notified that camp is “full”, YOU WILL RECEIVE NO OTHER COMMUNICATION REGARDING CAMP. Monday, June 19th, beginning at 8:30 AM campers may arrive in the lobby of the Stroudsburg High School Gym to sign in.
