Lower Green Swamp Pine Tree Planting!

Lower Green Swamp Preserve is holding its annual Pine Planting event! We will be planting 500 1gal slash pine trees! Shovels, bags to hold the trees, water coolers (bring your own water bottle) will be provided. Make sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, hat, gloves(we will have some provided) and wear long pants. CLOSED TOES SHOES REQUIRED! When: June 10th, 7:30am to 12:00pm Where: Lower Green Swamp Nature Preserve 3540 E Knights Griffin Rd, Plant City, FL 33565 Volunteers should plan on light maintenance to plant the Slash Pines. The trees are 1 gallon, so they will be smaller, but the planting will require lifting and bending. Dress to get messy and stay comfortable in the weather. Park staff will be available on site to provide supplies and direction on how to plant the pine trees!
