Whether you’re looking to experience a race track for the first time or improve your skills behind the wheel, we’ve designed the ultimate program to get you started with performance driving. Taste of the Track has partnered with Hooked on Driving to offer a lightweight package for novice-level drivers at some of America's most legendary circuits. Here’s what we have planned: Expert coaching Highly trained coaches will be guiding you throughout the event. Get specific feedback during car control exercises and while you’re on track.Car control sessions Experience the car near its limits in a safe environment on the skid pad. Learn to drive better with driving exercises and cornering drills.. Visualize and control your car path through slalom exercises ˛ and mini autocross sessions. On-track laps Experience driving on a racetrack for the first time at an approachable speed with guidance from of our dedicated coaches. Experience Hot laps from the passenger seat as our pro coaches demonstrate high performance driving What to expectThis program is specifically designed to introduce you to performance driving in a safe, controlled environment: No prior experience is required. Just show up with your car in good condition and our expert team will take care of the rest. Any type of car from a Honda Civic to a Porsche Cayenne will work. Most daily drivers perform perfectly well at our events, no modifications or upgrades are necessary.Session Overview: We have two identical sessions available during the morning or afternoon based on your preference: AM Session: 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM | PM Session: 1.00 PM to 4.30 PM Please arrive atleast 15 minutes prior to the session start time. Schedule: 20 min - Welcome and Overview 60 min - Car Control and Autocross sessions 10 min - Break 30 min - Lead Follow laps on track with coaching 30 mins - Hot laps with pro driving coaches 20 mins - Wrap up and staying involved with motorsports Questions?Having doubts or need more information? Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat kind of car do I need? You do NOT need a track-oriented car for this program. Any regular car, from a Honda Civic to a Porsche Cayenne can be driven in our program. Weight can be a problem on the track – so heavy SUV’s like Tahoes, or high center of gravity vehicles are not appropriate for what we do. There are restrictions on convertibles, but most European convertibles built after 1999 are ok Is there equipment I need besides a car? You do not need any additional equipment to participate in this program. We will provide safety certified helmets (SA2015), along with head socks for use during the program. Do I need to make modifications to my car? No modifications are needed to get started. Bring a reasonable road car in good condition and have fun your first day! Any other questions?
