Nurture a child’s love for cooking by getting them involved in the kitchen. In these hands-on camps, we will delve into classic techniques and real kitchen skills. We will cover knife skills, get acquainted with an array of kitchen equipment, and, of course, roll our sleeves up for some cooking and baking. Your kids, tweens and teens will measure, whisk, knead and create delicious sweet and savory concoctions. They will go home with some of their creations and/or enjoy them in the kitchen! We will be working on real kitchen skills so please know the maturity of your child(ren). Safety is our number one priority followed by learning and loving to cook and bake. Your budding chef will come home happy and filled with new skills each day. They will very likely be asking to make you dinner from now on - or, at least once in a while! Class sizes are limited and always fill up quickly - so, register early! There will be one chef, Ally Stephens, owner of Season to Taste, and one culinary assistant for a hands-on experience. Information Session 1: 3 Day Camp: Tuesday, July 11th - Thursday, July 13th Time: 11:00AM - 2:00PM Location: Eagle Valley High School - 641 Valley Rd. Gypsum - Health Sciences Building Room 1107 Ages: 7-10 Cost: $315 Cost of the camp covers all food, supplies, equipment, and leftovers for sharing at home:) Accepted Forms of Payment: either register on Eventbrite or, if you would like to avoid the Eventbrite fees: Venmo (@ally-stephens1 or [email protected]), PayPal ([email protected]), Zelle (303) 523-5539, GooglePay ([email protected]), Wire Transfer (Routing Number: 121000248; Account Number: 3957579844), Visa, Master Card, Discover, or Amex (I will send an invoice via QuickBooks if you'd like to pay by CC). Please send payment and provide the following information in your email: Name and Age of Participant(s) and which session you are signing up for (Session 1: July 11th -13th for 7-10 year olds or, Session 2: July 18th - 20th for 11-15 year olds) Send Payment to secure child(rens) spot(s) Acknowledgment of the below legal requirements: Legal Requirements that MUST be acknowledged/answered via email response before they can participate: Allergies & Special Needs When registering, participants must assume and accept the responsibility of notifying Season to Taste of any allergies to foods, diet restrictions or other special needs of their child. Please note that, depending on the menu, we can accommodate for some but not all allergies and/or diet restrictions. Please call before registering to discuss the options we can provide. Acknowledgment of Risk (Liability Waiver) When registering, participants must assume and accept that they will be participating in cooking activities where there is a natural element of risk of injury with kitchen appliances, equipment, knives, allergic reactions and other students in the class. Registering for a Season to Taste cooking class acknowledges this level of risk to yourself and/or child(ren) while participating in the activities offered by Season to Taste at Eagle Valley High School. Photo Permission Participants give permission for photographs, digital images, and/or videotape of their child to be used for future promotional or marketing material at Season to Taste.
