The Garage is a 21 and over venue. Standing only. There is some limited seating. First come, first served. There is a full bar. No food is served in The Garage. The Basement opens for dinner at 5:00pm. By a performer ticket to guarantee a song spot. Shakeout is a rock n’ roll duo from Yonkers, NY that is looking to try something different. Unlike a traditional band biography that will tell you all of the great things this project has accomplished, we’re here to use this place to tell our story. Feeling a click when encountering live music for the first time is unbelievable; it’s truly what drives us to pursue the dream of creating full-time. Finding other people with the same mindset is a must, which is just one of the many lessons we’ve learned over the years. Through this project and our music, we aim to share our journey while building a community that encourages others to do the same. After dabbling in multiple aspects of the music and art world, we’ve learned the value of sharing experiences to connect with an audience and hope to inspire a positive outlook on the potential of their creativity. Shakeout is definitely a visual band. We thrive on the novelty of using just a guitar, drum kit, and voice to create the same sonic energy of four people by utilizing live looping to demonstrate that less can be more with the right mindset. We’ve always had a strong vision for everything that we create and doing as much as possible with two musicians has truly helped us to make music that feels genuine and authentic.
