As Craftsmen, Masonic Education shows us how to make use of the tools and lessons of our beloved Fraternity, and inspires us to work with intention and care. In this spirit, The Illinois Northeastern Area Masonic Education Officers invite you to our first Area Masonic Education Symposium. When: Saturday, June 24 2023 (Saint John the Baptist Day) Time: 8:00am - 12pm Where: Libertyville Masonic Temple (356 Brainerd Ave, Libertyville Illinois 60048 Who: This event is open to all Master Masons (be prepared to show dues cards or credentials) Cost: Free (There is no charge for event tickets, but please rsvp by getting your ticket via this Eventbrite so the organizers can better plan for the event) We will hold the day's events at the historic Libertyville Masonic Temple. There is ample free parking behind the lodge in the parking structure. Starting at 8:00am, breakfast refreshments will be available on the lower level of the temple for a free-will donation. Presentations will kick off at 9am in the main lodge hall just upstairs. There will be a brief intermission mid-morning, followed by more presentations until 12pm when we will wrap up. Following the event, there will be the option for lunch and fellowship at one of the many excellent restaurants within a few blocks of the temple. Speakers for the day will be Brothers of the Northeastern Area, including Lodge Education Officers, District Education Officers, and Brothers with a passion for education. Speakers will be announced as the event nears (watch this space!) and topics will include history, ritual, and philosophy. There will be something for everyone, and great opportunities to expand our horizons and foster discussion as well. Please RSVP by getting your ticket via this Eventbrite. There is no cost for tickets, but there will be the option to make donations day-of to help in fostering future Area Education events.
