Resilient River Star Teacher Training Please join Elizabeth River Project staff for a 2 hour, hands-on workshop and field investigation at Paradise Creek Nature Park this fall! WHO: K-12 Teachers in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach WHEN: Saturday, September 30th, 11am-1pm. WHAT: ERP staff will guide teachers through learning stations around the park while brainstorming activities to take with them to their school. Teachers will test water quality, identify native plants and animals, pull up oyster cages, and take tree measurements. WHY: Learn background information about the Elizabeth River watershed, the environmental challenges we are facing, and how you can incorporate the MWEE (Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience) into your school year to guide students through an action project. Grant funding available to help with supplies for action projects!
