Come join us for a day of learning, networking, prizes, and fun and our annual Southern Chapter of NevAEYC Mini-conference Early Childhood in Bloom! Several breakout sessions to choose from including two that will be taught in Spanish! PBS KIDS Family and Community Learning-Learn & Grow Together, Mayte Heredia, Ready To Learn (RTL) Project Facilitator, VegasPBS Building I - Room I203 Learn how to create a playful, engaging environment where grown-ups and kids explore SEL and character development themes together, build habits in families that support kids’ SEL and character development through digital and non-digital engagement and reinforce grown-ups’ confidence to implement the strategies they explore during the sessions. Participants will gain hands on experience on how to implement the program with children. Creating a Sense of Belonging Kalena Sharp, Early Childhood Trainer, Las Vegas Urban League-Early Childhood Connection Building I - Room I203 This training focuses on how childcare providers and teachers can building a sense of belonging and community for children by creating an environment that support children social-emotional, cognitive and language development. Participants will have the opportunity to role play class scenarios that help to understand how to create a sense of belonging and implement strategies to build a community of leaders and learners.
