Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Preventive Controls for Animal Food The Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-based Preventive Controls for Animal Food regulation (referred to as the Preventive Controls for Animal Food regulation) is intended to ensure safe manufacturing/processing, packing and holding of food products for animal consumption in the United States. The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a “preventive controls qualified individual”. This course, developed by FSPCA, is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA; successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual. Who should attend? Animal feed or feed ingredient manufactures, packers, distributors, and regulators seeking to be Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals. This individual will receive training beneficial for overseeing the design and implementation of a facility’s food safety plan.  What is included? Instructional manual and workbook. Light morning breakfast and lunch will be provided day two and three; afternoon snacks are provided each day of training and are included in the registration.
