The Watsonville Rotary Club Foundation is again offering you a unique opportunity to celebrate the best of summer while also supporting underserved children and youth in our community, by taking part in our 2023 "Claws for a Cause" Maine Lobster Drive-Through Dinner Fundraiser from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Watsonville Elks Lodge, 121 Martinelli Street, Watsonville. This is our third time hosting the “take-out” version of our ‘Claws for a Cause’ Maine Lobster Dinner. Not only was last year's event a successful fundraiser for the local kids we serve (netting close to $25K), our patrons and sponsors raved about the quality of the food and the experience of enjoying this wonderful meal "family style" with their friends and loved ones in kitchens and backyards throughout the community. All the fresh ingredients, including 1 ¼ lb. lobsters (or fresh lobster tails if requested), shrimp, corn on the cob, sausages, artichokes, potatoes, garlic, sourdough baguette) are loaded into a steam pot for you to cook at home. Your lobster bibs, lobster crackers and placemat are also included with your order. Steam pots come in two sizes: Dinners for 2 or Dinners for 4. Each Lobster dinner is $85.00.* In other words: Dinner for 2 is $170 Dinner for 4 is $340 Dinner for 6 is $510 Dinner for 8 is $680 Dinner for 10 is $850 Even numbered orders only please. Make it a romantic dinner for two or put a group of friends and/or family together and make it a party. Just order multiple pots for larger gatherings. **SORRY, Single dinners are not available this year due to our vendors packaging limitations. ***Fresh Maine Lobster Tails can be substituted for Live Maine Lobsters when you place your order. Ticket Sales will close prior to the event, so please remember to place your order no later than Monday, August 7th to reserve your fresh Maine Lobster Dinners with all the fixings. DINNER PICK UP IS ON AUGUST 12TH: Patrons supporting this fundraising dinner (to benefit low-income, high-risk children and youth in the Pajaro Valley), just come by the Watsonville Elks Lodge between 2-4 p.m. on August 12 to pick up their reserved and pre-paid, "ready to cook" dinners. Then head home, cook the meal, melt some butter and enjoy..... bon appetite! * The fair market value of the goods & services at this event is $60 per dinner. Therefore the IRS states that $25 of each ticket purchase is tax deductible.
