Welcome to our 2-day retreat for LGBTQ+ teens at Equal Shares Parenting, LLC! This event is designed to provide a safe and supportive space for LGBTQ+ youth to come together, build community, and explore their identities. Over the course of two days, we'll engage in a variety of activities aimed at promoting self-care, personal growth, and connection. We'll kick off the weekend with introductory activities and team-building exercises to help everyone get to know each other and feel comfortable in the group. Throughout the retreat, we'll offer structured psycho-educational discussion groups on a range of topics related to LGBTQ+ issues, including supporting intersectional identities, how our identities impact our daily lives, and supporting friends and family who are early in their “coming out” journey or in the closet. We'll also have time for creative expression through art, as well as the opportunity to engage in yoga practice and other physical activities. There will also be a trivia game! In addition to structured activities, we will also have free time for hanging out, relaxing, and getting to know each other better. We will provide breakfast each day in addition to snacks throughout the weekend. Our goal is for everyone to leave the retreat feeling supported, empowered, and inspired to continue their journey as LGBTQ+ youth. We recognize that everyone's experiences are unique, and we strive to create a space that welcomes and celebrates all identities. We can't wait to see you there!
