The XINSURANCE Great Lakes Grand Prix features many of the world's fastest offshore power boats. Throughout this exciting 5-day event, walk through Washington Park and chat with racers, team members and boat owners who will also appear at the Race Team Welcome Party at Washington Park, Friday, August 4th from 6-10pm, along with the boat parade and block party Saturday night downtown on Franklin Street beginning at 6pm. On Wednesday, play your way through 18 holes during the XINSURANCE Great Lakes Grand Prix Golf Outing at the Michigan City Municipal Golf Course with lunch, drinks and cart included all while meeting race teams, race fans and sponsors (contact Katie Dermody at 219.851.3550 for more Golf Outing information). All weekend long, enjoy live entertainment, family fun, food, drinks and racing! Join us in celebrating and enjoying the races at one, or all 3 VIP Events! The Thursday Ribbon Cutting beginning at 5:30pm leads into the VIP Event hosted by Sunset Grille which includes hors d'oeuvres and an open bar from 6-8pm. Get your tickets to the VIP Tent with the best race view on Saturday and Sunday. The VIP Tent is open 9am-4pm with our VIP Brunch and Open Bar under the tent from 10am-2pm both Saturday and Sunday.
