Pre-registration is required for all attendees. | Speaker | Pastor Bernie, currently serving as the Director of Donor Care for Love Life South Florida, has served as one of the organization’s inaugural missionaries on staff, since 2021. He oversees development for the ministry and helps engage and mobilize local churches through pastoral relationships, to partner with Love Life in helping to create a culture that would result in the end of the abortion and orphan crisis in the greater community. Bernie Diaz is the founding pastor of a local church and a missionary for a leading prolife ministry in South Florida. Bernie planted Christ Community Church in southwest Broward County, Florida in 2009. He is most passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word and making disciples rooted in the principle of the authority and sufficiency of scripture. In 1999, Bernie Diaz became the Director of Communications for the Miami Coalition For a Safe and Drug-Free Community. The Miami Coalition, was a non-profit organization recognized and respected as a national and international leader in the fight against substance abuse and related issues. While there, Bernie was the spokesman and media liaison for the Coalition, coordinating their press, marketing and public relations. In addition, Bernie served as the Regional Manager for the Partnership for a Drug-Free America, coordinating public service broadcast coverage for the organization throughout South Florida. Bernie produced and hosted UPN-TV’s award-winning public affairs talk-show Focus On South Florida, for more than a decade from the mid 1990’s through 2004. Aside from his work on that issues-oriented program, as a department head, he coordinated the community-affairs and public service efforts of television station WBFS, in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, as Public Affairs Director from 1992 to 1999. During that tenure, Bernie also served as a Sports Reporter and on-air Anchor for Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins and Miami Heat telecasts on UPN-TV. Additionally, he served as an on-air free-lance personality by appearing frequently as a local radio talk-show host and as a play-by-play announcer and color analyst on local cable television for University of Miami woman’s basketball, high school basketball, tennis and arena football. Prior to joining UPN, Bernie Diaz began his broadcasting career at Miami’s WXDJ-FM radio in 1989, reporting sports and news in morning drive. One year later, he became Sports Director at WTMI-FM radio, where he created, produced and hosted their morning drive sports programming, as well as serving as an advertising account executive.
