June 2 is National Gun Violence Awareness Day and June 2 - 4 is Wear Orange Weekend. Moreover, June is designated Gun Violence Awareness Month. All of these designations were created to enhance awareness of the tragic reality that gun violence is claiming many lives along with fostering an inclusive environment that uplifts and supports gun violence survivors. Moreover, it is an opportunity to advocate for gun violence prevention and gun safety. We are hosting activities and events, June 3 - 10, that support Gun Violence Awareness as we honor survivors and remember the lives taken by gun violence.
