Description

We'll be hiking the Waneka Lake trail at Waneka Lake Park in Lafayette which is a 1.2 mile trail 10-20 miles from Denver and Boulder. This is an easy hike with beautiful views. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race! Once we comlete the loop, we'll plan to take a break to catch our breath, enjoy the view and do a little gratitude journaling! Time: 9:00 AM Location/Directions:  1600 Caria Dr, Lafayette, CO 80026 - We will meet at the Waneka Lake West lot near the boat house and bathrooms. Difficulty level/Distance: easy/1.2 miles Restroom Facilities: Bathroom available near parking area What you will need for this hike: Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sunComfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakersComfortable moisture wicking clothing - workout clothes work just fine!A daypack/backpack to carry all your itemsA towel to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the groundYour journal and a penPlease review the liability waiver here and be prepared to acknowledge and accept at sign in for your event.
