Join Hebrew College rabbinical student Hindy Finman to learn from the Tanya, the foundational text of Chabad. The Tanya was written by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi in 1796 as a guide for how to serve G-d. In this class we’ll study the introduction to the Tanya and explore the questions: For whom was the Tanya written, and how might it be relevant today? Hindy Finman (she/her) is a fourth-year rabbinical student at Hebrew College. Hindy grew up in a large Chabad family and started learning Tanya in Kindergarten. Over the past decade Hindy has been teaching and learning Torah and Chassidus through a mental health lens with the goal of normalizing the human experience. Hindy is a ceramic artist, pretends to play the banjo, and loves cold water swims. Open to all learning levels, texts will be provided.
