The 1874 Old School, probably the oldest brick school building in Colorado, will open at 5pm where you can enjoy another Special Event, the Plein Air Art Gallery Opening. You may have even watched the 'Quick-Draw' when the artists had 2 hours (10am-noon) to sketch & complete a painting in the downtown historic district. Cocktails and other light refreshments are available as you browse the gallery where you may decide to purchase a curated piece that has captured the history (and your heart) of this Victorian mining town. You can also tour the building, see the original classrooms and pictures of teachers and students from the last century, of which many families still reside in the town.
