Orange County Interfaith Committee to Aid Farmworkers invites you to our spring dinner and silent auction fundraiser for the United Farm Workers. UFW President, Teresa Romero, will be the guest speaker for this special event. About Teresa: Teresa is the first immigrant and woman president of a national union fifty-two years after Delores Huerta negotiated her first successful collective bargaining agreement! President Teresa was born in Mexico City into a large family of Mexican and Zapotec ancestry and grew up in Guadalajara. She and all five of her siblings were educated. She previously served as Secretary-Treasurer of the United Farm Workers and is admired by her peers for her work ethic, calm competence, organizational skills, ability to build relationships, and Si Se Puede! spirit.
