This annual membership event is open to all members of the Rye and Greenland Historical Societies. Enjoy light refreshments, check out volunteer opportunities for the year, and be entered into a raffle to win two tickets to Celia Thaxter's Garden Tour through the Shoals Marine Lab. Many thanks to the Shoals Marine Lab for their donation to our membership event. All guests will receive one raffle ticket. Attending RHS members and those who become members during the event will receive two additional tickets. Additional raffle tickets will be available to purchase. Drawing will take place at 4:50 p.m. on the day of the event. The winner need not be present. From the tour description: "Step back in time and experience the unique beauty of Celia Thaxter's Appledore Island! Experience the serenity of Celia Thaxter’s garden by the sea. Visit the Laighton family cemetery and learn their history with many of the islands in the Isles of Shoals. Hike the paths Celia herself wandered and explore the cultural history of the Appledore Hotel."
