The Warrior Color Run is a family friendly run that is the distance of about one mile. You can walk or run along while you get sprinkled with vibrant color powder at the color stations. Along the race are also optional, easy obstacles to navigate that involve jumping, balancing and crawling. For extra fun before and after the race, inflatable obstacle courses will be provided by Games Galore from 5-8pm. This event will be held at the Red River Valley Fair Grounds on Thursday, June 15th. Stay for supper and enjoy food from the Twisted Spork food truck. Event Schedule 5pm- Come early to pick up race packets, jump in the inflatable obstacle courses or grab a bite to eat. 5-6pm- Enjoy music, socialization and start getting colorful! 6:00- Race start. There will be a fun filled start to the race with music, announcements and color powder blasts. 5-8pm- Twisted Spork food truck and Games Galore inflatable obstacle courses available The Warrior Color Run is brought to you by Henrik’s Heroes, a non profit organization with a mission to empower children through their medical journey. Henrik’s Heroes works hard in the community to assist young medical warriors and their families during their battles. Proceeds from this event benefit this organization. Every runner will receive a drawstring bag with a race shirt, color powder packet, and fun Warrior Color Run SWAG. Extra color powder will be available for purchase at the event. Finisher medals will be awarded to all participants at the end of the run. FAQ's WHAT DO I WEAR TO THE RACE? White! Anything you want to get color on. The race shirts are a great option to wear because they are, you guessed it, WHITE! We suggest you come in a tank top to wear under your race shirt. That way you can take the colored shirt off before you leave if you desire. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Yourself, your friends, a positive attitude, and your appetite! We will have your white shirts ready for you to put on, sunglasses for the race, and lots of yummy food to fill your bellies. After the race is done, it’s easy to shake/rub a lot of the excess powder off, and it will not stain, but it might be a good idea to have a change of clothes or a towel in the car. WHAT AGES ARE WELCOME? All ages are guaranteed to have fun at this event! The race is the distance of about 1 mile so it’s perfect for those that want to walk, or fun for running and competing against others for time. The course is in an open grassy field so parents are able to supervise their children running if they do not want to participate in the race. WHAT IS COLOR POWDER? Whether you call it Color Powder, Colored Chalk, Colored Dust, Holi Powder, Holi Colors etc., it is essentially the same thing. Bright, vibrant powder used to throw at Holi Festivals, Fun Runs, Color Wars and other events. Our Color Powder is made from a blend of food grade cornstarch, FD&C and D&C dyes (food, drug and cosmetic dyes) and baking soda.
