Description

21+ event sponsored by Rise, GHS Strings and Main Street Music in Downtown West Coast Songwriters (WCS) is excited to be partnering with Almost Famous Wine Lounge for their Spring Showcase. This showcase, Steve Kritzer, Aireene Espiritu, Tala Newell and Chance McCauley have been specially chosen by a panel of judges appointed by West Coast Songwriters. The performance will be in a "Nashville Style" round and emceed by the ultra talented and ultra charismatic former drummer for the late Little Richard, D'Mar! Expect D’Mar to make you laugh and think, and for the music to send chills up your spine. Popular Bay Area music veteran, Steve Kritzer is an award winning singer-songwriter, entertainer, multi-instrumentalist, instructor, and jam leader, amassing a large and loyal following from school kids to seniors at coffeehouses, wineries, festivals, music camps and schools from California to Ireland. Aireene Espiritu plays a mix of stompin', swayin' and timeless Americana reminiscent of front porch storytelling, of ghosts and the living, times of laughter and tears. Aireene was a soloist with the Glide Ensemble in San Francisco, toured internationally and across the country, playing intimate venues such as Freight & Salvage to festivals such as Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Singer-songwriter, guitarist, Tala Newell is a soulful and introspective, 16-year-old from the San Francisco Bay Area, known for her epic choruses and powerful delivery. At the age of 10, she discovered her passion for writing original songs, inspired by pop, rock, punk, and alternative music. She has self-produced and released several songs. At such an early stage in her career, her vulnerability allows her to brilliantly communicate and evoke strong emotions in her audience. Chance McCauley is a solo artist based out of Napa Valley bringing his own west coast soul to every stage he meets. He has been honored to perform at iconic venues and festivals including the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, the Whiskey a Go-Go in LA, and at the famous SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. He has received numerous awards for both his performance and songwriting. Most notably, his song “Home” won Best Song of the Year for West Coast Songwriters. This event will occur quarterly, so stay tuned for future dates through 2023. This event will also be livestreamed!
