This year we will celebrate our 60th anniversary! We will look back on the origins of the Friends of the Library, and introduce the initiatives and programs we are pursuing currently, and for the future. This year's program will also include a tale of racism and civil rights that happened in our own back yard! Local author Janice Munemitzu will discuss her book "The Kindness of Color: The Story of Two Families and Mendez, ET AL. V. Westminster, the 1947 Desegregation of California Public Schools. " Please join us for our annual election of officers for a two-year term just after lunch.
