Celebrate the launch of "50 Pies, 50 States" by Stacey Mei Yan Fong (B.F.A., fibers, 2010) with a book signing. Taste pies baked by Stacey and Cheryl Day, owner of Back in the Day Bakery, and learn about the inspiration for the book. Featured on CBS Sunday Morning, NPR, and Eater, this cookbook offers a delicious portrait of the country with more than 50 recipes for extraordinary pies that encapsulate each state's unique flavors and culture. The project’s success led to a surprise career change for Stacey from fashion designer to baker extraordinaire. Fong grew up in Hong Kong, moving to the U.S. to pursue a fibers degree from SCAD.
