Description

FAACTS invites you to join us at Farming Hope to enjoy a shared meal, learn about food sovereignty in San Francisco and why community food programs are vital to feeding our city. You will hear from food system leaders moderated by Chronicle columnist, Soleil Ho. Pre-pandemic, 1 in 4 San Franciscans did not know where their next meal would come from. With rising food costs, environmental uncertainty, and the sunsetting of federal Covid-19 food relief, food insecurity in San Francisco is higher than ever. FAACTS is working to advocate for City funding to ensure that our most vulnerable are fed in a way that is neighborhood based and coordinated across every district in San Francisco, with the goal of nourishing our community in a way that is sincere, healthy, empowering, specific, culturally relevant, humble, and abundant.
