Taking a tour through the elements of the three regions of Peru, this workshop gives participants the opportunity to learn and play traditional Peruvian instruments. This includes whistling vessels of the Moche culture, Nazca panpipes, Chincha flute, maracas and shapajas (instruments made of organic materials from our jungle), sikus or zampoƱas from the highlands, among others. Jorge, the workshop facilitator, has decades of experience with these ancient instruments, and will be in Prescott for only a few days to share his craft at this very special event.
