SPECIAL GUEST @ 7:00pm Comedian Jason Fylan
As many of you know, Noah Glowacki has a soft tissue tumor growing from his Iliac bone. The tumor was discovered last fall after Noah mentioned some discomfort and sciatic pain. His journey began through Henry Ford and Children’s Hospital. The chemotherapy and surgical plans began immediately. In search of a more positive post-operation lifestyle for Noah, his family met with U of M and Mayo Clinic. After some research both U of M and Mayo Clinic did not agree that chemotherapy was going to help shrink Noah’s tumor. With such confusion, and lots of help, they were able to start working with Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. The Chief of Surgery took on Noah’s case and has given them great hope for the best possible outcome. Noah’s surgeon and her team have successfully removed about 60-70% of his tumor, but will need to perform another surgery this summer to complete their plan. The cost of travel, lodging, food, reduced income (taking a lot of time off work, unpaid), and medical expenses have proven to be quite overwhelming for their family. We hope that with your help, we will be able to fund the next trip to NYC for this intricate surgery and long road to healing and recovery.
