A few years ago, I challenged myself with creating a pop-up for each region of Italy. That’s 20 pop-ups. I did the first 4 in San Francisco. Now I’m here. To stay. So here we go… Lombardy is one of only 4 landlocked regions of Italy. However, there are several grand and well known lakes, like Lake Como, that harvest several important fish. The region is also a habitat for a very important river, called the “Po”, in the lowlands, where some of the best rice is the world is porduced. Cows, their cheese and butter are prized here. You won’t see much olive oil. And, the Spanish had log term stay, influencing the quisine, with things like saffron. We will be highlighting the best of Lombardy on the menu, and having a chat during dinner, all to learn a lot about a little place. Please join us. This is a BYOB event, but I would love you to have wine that is perfect for this menu. So I’ve paired up with Headquarters to create a special list of wines to pair. Please call 541-844-0604.
