Louisiana Words is a soon to be nonprofit that has its origins in Lafayette in 2013 when it was the launch pad for the first ever Acadiana Pride Festival in 2014. LouisianaWords.com showcases poetry, fiction, or memoirs for writers who live or have lived in Louisiana. Louisiana Words will have a live show on Friday, May 19th @ 7pm. If you would like to participate as a reader in this show or submit writing for our website, please contact us at [email protected]. There will also be an open mic at the show for those that would like to just show up and read. From 4pm til close on Friday, May 19th, 10% of all bookstore purchases will go to Pride Acadiana.
