Maybe the question has become, Why am I alive right now in this very moment? Why do I think the way that I think? Why do I feel unhappy following the status quo? Why do I desire something that my family and friends think is so strange? Why don't I fit in? We will do a deep dive into the Iceberg Theory (aka the theory of omission). With a test subject pressent we will discuss the very things that one sees as apparent on the outside and gain an understanding of what is below the surface. As we peel back the layers like that of an onion we will notice incredibly specific things, unique to the individual, as well as many relatable things to that of many. Throughout the course of our conversation we hope to reconnect to the beauty of ones individualism, going through the growth, pain, and victories. Tying all of how one life can be an answer to the very prayers of our ancestors, those of whom blood runs through our veins. As Wintu we are q'ot (strong). As a people revitalizing our language we are resilient. We are of our kiye '- cepet and honpom puta 'cepet ( grandfather and grandmother ancestors).
