This is a one-day workshop designed to equip faith community leaders to minister to those impacted by suicide. This includes the creation of worship resource, training congregation members in suicide awareness and basic conversation skills, and the how to extend the invitation to those who have been suicidal in the past to share their stories. This workshop engages the question of how to cultivate a soul-safe culture within your congregation. Location: Covenant Presbyterian Church 220 Rock Prairie Rd College Station TX 77845 Time: 830am to 430pm Directions to the Church: From highway 6, exit Rock Prairie. Travel West on Rock Prairie. As you approach Wellborn Rd (FM 2154), Covenant Presbyterian Church will be on your left. The nearest landmark is an elementary school and playground on your right. On the day of the event, there will be two possible entrances. The first is through the narthex; the doors are on the walkway beneath the portico. The second is a side door near the parking lot. From the narthex, the sanctuary will be in front of you. From the side door, follow the hallway through the second doorway, and the sanctuary will be ahead of you.
