We're excited to announce that the Austin Chinese-American Network (ACAN) will hold a panel discussion featuring the voices of local graduating high school students, who will share their experiences, challenges, and successes from the past four years. The panel will consist of students from local schools including Westwood, Westlake, and LASA, who have been admitted to Harvard University, Rice University, John Hopkins University, Vanderbilt University, the University of Texas at Austin, UC Berkeley and more. This discussion is designed to provide valuable insights and guidance to students navigating high school and preparing to apply to college. Additionally, these top students will discuss how they juggled schoolwork, extracurriculars, and mental health while working towards admission to their dream schools. We understand that the college application process can be overwhelming and confusing. As a result, we hope these students’ advice will substantially benefit both current and upcoming high schoolers, both in their day-to-day lives and in applying to college. We strongly encourage all interested middle and high school students to attend this seminar to learn from their older peers.
