Enjoy Cinema Under the Stars in the New Downtown Palm Springs Park! After a successful debut last summer, the Palm Springs Cultural Center is bringing back Movies in the Park for its second season! Featuring classic comedies and musicals from the fifties and sixties, the free movies begin at sundown in the new Downtown Park, across from the Palm Springs Art Museum. Dine early Downtown or pick up takeout and picnic in the park. Wine and beer will be available to purchase at the event. Movies in the Park is made possible by the generous support of the City of Palm Springs, PS Resorts, and the PS Chamber of Commerce. May 31 - FUNNY FACE, starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire Dispatched on an assignment, New York City-based fashion photographer Dick Avery (Fred Astaire) is struck by the beauty of Jo Stockton (Audrey Hepburn), a shy bookstore employee he's photographed by accident, who he believes has the potential to become a successful model. He gets Jo to go with him to France, where he snaps more pictures of her against iconic Parisian backdrops. In the process, they fall for one another, only to find hurdles in their way.
