Looking to indulge your sweet tooth and unleash your inner pastry chef? Look no further than our first cake decorating class at The Martha Washington Inn & Spa! In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of cake decorating, and by the end, you will leave with a beautiful homemade cake made fresh by our Pastry Chef, Willie Bordwine!
To start, we will introduce you to the tools and ingredients that you will be working with, such as different types of frosting tips, piping bags, food coloring, and of course, delicious frosting! Our experienced cake decorator, Hillary Wright, will then demonstrate how to prepare and frost a cake.
Next, it's time to get hands-on! You will have the opportunity to decorate your own cake using a variety of techniques. You can also add your own personal touch by choosing your own color scheme and adding any extra decorations you like.
Throughout the class, our instructor will be on hand to provide guidance and support, answering any questions you may have and helping you troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Once your cake is decorated to your satisfaction, we will provide you with a cake box to take your masterpiece home with you. You can enjoy your delicious creation with family and friends, or keep the tasty treat all to yourself!
