2023 California State Capitol Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration builds upon the Federal Juneteenth Holiday and takes a deep dive into Slavery in California. Come experience our California Journey From Slavery to Freedom (1776-1876) Join us as we begin to discover our authentic California story at the intersection of our California Archives and California State Library thereby restoring full dignity and respect for our California Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. Our 2023 California Juneteenth Freedom Day Gala Celebrations will continue into the evening at the Grand Ballroom, 1215 J Street, Downtown Sacramento. (Ticketed Events)
