Join us for a quick, informative talk on local native Milkweed and the amazing relationship they have with the iconic Monarch Butterfly. After a brief info-session and planting demonstration, all registered participants will receive 5 Narrowleaf Milkweed plants to use in their own gardens to help attract and support Monarch Butterfly populations (Please Note: We will only be giving plants away to those who have registered for the workshop, we will not have extra plants to give away for those who have not registered). The one hour class and plant giveaway includes: - Info about the unique relationship between local Milkweed and Monarchs - Tips about the best spots in your garden to plant native Milkweed - Info about the best early and late flowering plants for Monarchs and other pollinators - Learning how to install and water Narrowleaf Milkweed plants in your garden - How to attract and help pollinators in your garden The 60-minute program will be limited to 75 people, so please be sure to register. Don't forget your sun hat, sunscreen, water, and other appropriate outdoor gear. Directions: 1. Park in the main visitor parking lot: Car Park for Sycamore Canyon 2. Walk past the left side of the bathrooms, past the Eucalyptus grove. 3. Walk into and past the horse stable area, and into Rancho Sierra Vista Nursery. Total walking time averages less than 3 minutes. If you are walking for longer you may be walking the wrong way! Call or text 805-844-7449 if you are lost.
